Classroom Expectations
Homework Expectations
Reading- The students are expected to read each night for 25 minutes. They should read a variety of texts (fiction and nonfiction) throughout the week. I would encourage students to use Raz-kids.com for reading during the week so that they can monitor their reading using the comprehension quizzes. The students will also complete 2-3 Reading Response paragraphs throughout the week to share reading strategies and skills that they are working on.
Math- Students will receive Math homework throughout the week that reviews skills that are taught during the day. The students can also go on IXLmath.com and Tenmarks.com to do extra practice if they would like.
Inquiry- I encourage students to continue researching topics that we are studying in class. They can use their research skills to ask questions and seek information by talking to people and searching on the internet.
